OUR STORY
From Bahia, Brazil to The Granite City
Fabio Barbosa, a native of Brazil, has infused a taste of his tropical homeland into the heart of Aberdeen with his innovative creation - Barbossauna. Transforming a humble horsebox into a seaside sanctuary, Fabio's vision has captured the imagination of locals and tourists alike following its inception in August 2023.
Since opening our doors, Fabio and his loyal companion Rocky, the sauna's canine mascot, have warmly welcomed tourists from as far flung places as Finland (the birthplace of sauna!) and Australia, as well as our cherished local guests. Together, they ensure that everyone feels at home at our year-round sanctuary by the sea.

Utilising a wood burner to achieve temperatures ranging from 70 to 95 degrees Celsius, Barbossauna offers a customisable sauna experience tailored to individual preferences. Fabio's warm welcome and hospitality ensures that every visit to Barbossauna is nothing short of magical.
